Give Arro context by creating pages in your library. Pages and the knowledge base graph are available on every plan. You need editing access to change a page’s knowledge base setting.

What your knowledge base is

Your knowledge base is the set of pages Arro uses as reference material. Every new page starts in the knowledge base, whether you write it or ask Arro to create it. Adding a page to the knowledge base does not share it. Moving, sharing, or restoring a page preserves its membership setting. Page contents provide reference information. They cannot change the instructions you give Arro.

Choose pages

Select In knowledge base in your library to see included pages. The filter includes pages in nested folders and respects your current team or private library. Open Page details and turn In knowledge base on or off. You can also choose Add to knowledge base or Remove from knowledge base in the page’s library menu. When no pages in the current scope are included, the library shows Nothing in your knowledge base yet with New page. Pages can share a title. Choose the intended page by its location when linking or opening it. Each included page has a book badge beside its access icon. Hover over it to see In knowledge base.

Explore the graph

With In knowledge base selected, choose Visualize. The graph opens in a dialog and uses the same folder, team, and visibility filters. Unlinked pages stay close together. Each circle represents a page. Lines connect linked pages. Click a circle for details, double-click to open it, drag to move, and scroll to zoom. Open Filters to search, browse the keyboard-accessible Pages list, or group pages by tag or folder.

Focus on one page

Open a page’s overflow menu and choose Related pages. Depth controls how far to follow links. See graph display limits. The graph tells you when some pages are omitted.

Attach a document

Attach material in the Arro conversation and ask it to create a page. Arro creates one page for your request unless you ask for more. Arro asks for clarification when it cannot tell which pages to change. It updates related pages only when you request that work. You can ask Arro to edit any page you can edit. Rewrites show a preview for approval. The attachment’s name appears in the page’s Activity. The original document is not stored as a library file.

Attachment errors

Messages show your filename. These examples use “report.pdf”. “report.pdf is not a supported file type.” Convert it to a supported format listed above. “report.pdf is larger than the 1 MB limit for a PDF.” Compress or split the file. Other size errors are “image.png is larger than the 4 MB limit for an image.” and “notes.txt is larger than the 256 KB limit for a text file.” “Too many files. report.pdf was not added.” The message already has 3 files. Attach the file on a following message. “A message can carry at most 2 documents. Attach report.pdf on a following message.” Send the remaining document separately. “report.pdf would take this conversation past its 6 MB attachment limit. Start a new conversation to attach more.” Earlier attachments count toward this limit. “Could not read report.pdf. Try again or remove it and attach the file again.” Your message stays in the composer after a read failure.
