Quickstart

Install the Audimate desktop app, record a task in watch mode, review the workflow it drafts, and run it, all in about ten minutes.

By the end of this you will have a working workflow that Audimate built from watching you do a task once.

Audimate is coming soon. Access to the web workspace and desktop downloads is limited to approved testers. Public signups and downloads are not open yet.

The desktop app is for Windows. macOS is coming soon; Mac-specific guidance describes the upcoming release.

Prerequisites

• A Windows PC running Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), for the desktop app.
• A Chromium-based browser: Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Arc.
• An Audimate account. Sign up at app.audimate.ai, then open the confirmation email we send you. Your account is not active, and you cannot sign in, until you do. The link expires after 60 minutes, and the sign-up page can send a fresh one.

Every step works on the Free plan. Free includes 3 workflow runs, so you can run what you build in step 4. Running beyond those starts on Plus. Free builds a complete workflow, with one recording, one playbook, and one connected task board. See Plan limits.

The first time you sign in, a setup wizard asks for your workspace name. The role dropdown starts blank and includes Other. Choosing a role and inviting teammates are optional.

Your first visit to Home in each workspace opens a welcome screen.

Arro narrates the desktop tutorial, introducing the dock, task cards, and Home ask bar. Select Done, close the tutorial, or press Esc to finish. If you quit the app before finishing or dismissing it, the tutorial returns when you reopen that workspace. Completion is remembered for that workspace on this device.

Replay tour in your profile menu starts an optional tour, including the spoken dock tour on desktop.

Step 1: Install the desktop app

Recording happens in the desktop app, so the first-time flow starts there. You can read and edit workflows in the browser too, and both share the same account.

1. Download the app

   Go to audimate.ai/download and download the Windows installer.

2. Install and launch

   Run the installer and launch Audimate from the Start menu.

3. Sign in

   The app opens your default browser to sign in, then hands you back. See the desktop app guide for the full walkthrough.

Step 2: Record the task in watch mode

Watch mode captures a workflow: demonstrate the task once and Audimate turns it into a recording, a step timeline, and a drafted playbook.

1. Ask Arro to watch

   Hold your push-to-talk key (Right Ctrl by default) and say “watch me do this”.

2. Walk through the task once

   Complete the task as you normally would. A glowing border traces the screen being recorded, and a status card tracks elapsed time and captured steps.

3. Stop

   Say “stop watching”. The review editor opens with your captured video.

4. Review the demonstration

   Follow Review before submitting to correct annotations, trim footage, and conceal sensitive information.

5. Submit the recording

   Click Submit and confirm. Audimate creates the workflow and notifies you when processing finishes.

The workflow is named automatically from your demonstration, and you can rename it afterward.

The recording does not have to be perfect. You can edit step instructions inline, delete steps, and add steps by hand once it has processed.

Step 3: Review and scaffold with AI

Processing already drafts a playbook and, when the task uses per-run values, an input task board.

1. Open the workflow

   Review the step timeline and the drafted playbook.

2. Click Create

   In the workflow header, Create opens the Create with AI dialog.

3. Pick what to scaffold

   Use Create for a new playbook or template task board, or Edit to update an existing one.

4. Select the recording as reference

   The agent follows what it shows, then fills in the relevant tabs in a few seconds.

Step 4: Run the workflow

Start workflow, in the top-right of the workflow header, opens a dropdown with two ways to run.

Guide me highlights the control to use, tells you what to do, and waits. It coaches from the recording when there is one and from the playbook when there is not. Run with AI follows the procedure once and asks you for missing inputs. Attached task board queues stay untouched.

Both modes live in the desktop app, so pressing them in a browser hands off to it. If nothing opens, the dialog that appears has a download link and a button to try again.

Follow the run in the Tasks view, which replays what the agent did step by step, and Arro tells you how it went when it finishes. For queued work, see running many tasks at once.
